Imo governor donates bus to NYSC, pledges more support

Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has donated a 32-seater bus to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and pledged his government’s readiness to continue to support the corps to realise the objectives for which it was established.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary and Media Adviser, Oguwike Nwachukwu, the governor said the vehicle was given to help the NYSC effectively carry out its operations.

Chief of Staff to the governor, Nnamdi Anyaehie, who donated the bus on behalf of the state government at the Government House, Owerri, said the donation followed a recent demand by the NYSC in Imo State for a vehicle to assist them carrying out their day-to-day activities.

Beforehanding over the keys and other documents of the vehicle to the Coordinator, Chris Jimba, Anyaehie charged the management and staff of the NYSC in Imo State to ensure that they deploy the vehicle to appropriate use

Jimba commended Uzodimma and the Imo State Government for the gesture, saying the NYSC was pleased with the donation.
