The amount blogger earn on daily basis ranges from 0 to millions of dollars depending on the traffic that comes to your blog, quality of content on your site and monetization strategies. There are rich bloggers and there are poor bloggers. Your efforts will determine how much you will make. It is one of the most common ways to make money with your blog. There are two main types of ads offered by different ad networks; i) CPC/PPC Ads: Cost Per Click (also called Pay Per Click) ads. These usually come in form of banners that you place in your blog, and you make money each time your blog users taps/clicks on the ads. ii) CPM Ads: This is Cost Per 1,000 Impressions. Unlike CPC, this type of ad does not require your blog users to click before you earn. It pays a fixed amount of money depending on the number of people that visited your blog and see the ad. The most popular ad network for setting up these types of monetization is 'Google AdSense'. With ad networks, you don't need to be in direct contact with advertisers. All you need is to sign up with Google AdSense, place Google ad code on your blog, and Google will start displaying the most relevant ads on your blog. There are other ad networks, such as Infolinks, Chitika, Media.net that are very similar to Google AdSense which you can consider Google AdSense doesn’t work well for you. 2. Sell Direct or Private Ads Another way to monetize a blog is through selling of direct ads space on your blog. So, instead of advertising through ad networks, like; Google AdSense, Infolinks, Media.net etc, you can sell ad space directly to advertisers. However, this type of monetization work well when you have a lot of traffic on your blog. Advertisers will be contacting you for you to place their ads on your blog. Also, you reach out to advertisers yourself, and tell them about the available ads space on your blog. The major difference from using ad networks is that you can set your own advert rates. You can as well sell adverts space in form of banners, buttons, sponsored posts or links. Another way to earn through this means is to accept sponsored posts from advertisers by writing about the advertise's product or service. To make sales, Janny can place the affiliate link on her blog, for her blog users to buy James' product, so that she would get commission for every sale made through her link. So, that is how affiliate marketing works. You must not create private partnerships with advertisers before you can make money from this. There are many affiliate networks like Amazon, Jumia, Konga etc you can work with. All you need is to sign up with any affiliate network, find product to sell, get your affiliate link, and place the link on your blog. Tip: You can create a banner and add the link to the picture, so that it will appear like banner ads. If your blog user clicks on the banner(affiliate link), it redirects the person to the site where to buy the product, and you'll earn if the person buys the product you've recommended. 4. Sell Digital Products Another great way to make money blogging is by the selling of digital products on your blog. If you don't want to advertise other people's products, then you can consider selling of your own products. Digital products to sell can be things like; eBooks, app, images, online courses, musics, videos plugins, or themes. Tip: Don't just jump into selling of digital products, you need to listen to your blog readers and find out what they really want before you begin to sell digital items to them, so that they will find your products relevant and useful. 5. Use it as a Content Marketing Tool for Your Business There are so many people that use their blog as a marketing tool to sell physical products and make money. So, instead of thinking about making direct money with your blog, you can rather use it as a powerful marketing tool to drive visitors to their business website. The potential outcomes of this is endless when it comes to developing a business blog. You could sell hand-made items such as, books, clothes, phones, and so on.
