30,000 Exited Npower Volunteers Gets Permanent FG Job

The latest news reaching us about Npower is that a total number of thirty thousand (30,000) exited beneficiaries of the scheme has gotten permanent Federal Government Jobs.

Alhaji S.N who is the minister of Agriculture and Rural Development disclosed the information earlier this week, at the Presidential Villa during the meeting of Economic Sustainability Committee which was presided by the Vice President of the Federation.

According to him, seventy three thousand (73,000) were trained by FG while thirty thousand (30,000) of the exited volunteers were given a permanent job as agricultural enumerators in the seven hundred and seventy-four (774) L.G.A where they were deployed to.

This was part of the Economic Sustainability Plan (ESP), reported by the Honorable minister in respect to the progress ascertained.

It was also made known during the meeting that a total of five million, four hundred thousand (5,400,000) farmers have been enumerated to benefit from the plan.

Among the five million four hundred thousand (5,400,000) farmers, about two million nine hundred thousand (2,900,000) of them had gotten their BVN validation done, awaiting funding by the Apex bank of Nigeria (CBN).

The minister also made it known that in the following states; Kwara, Edo, Plateau, Osun, Ekiti, Ogun, Kaduna, and Cross River States, a special plot of land measuring 3,200 hectares is being cleared for the purpose of farming. While the construction of roads linking about five hundred markets in Nigeria, is undergoing construction and has met twenty-eight percentage (28%) in terms of completion.

As time goes on, more exited beneficiaries will be given permanent jobs in various sectors, just as the agricultural sector has done.
